It’s kind of funny, you know…
We live in a country that is free – a lot better than most other countries where stuff is blown up, people are killed at random, and dictators rule, ravage, and destroy… But what about Milwaukee?
Milwaukee is a shit show at so many levels!
Milwaukee enters into a contract after an insurance agency to takes over Miller park (now infinity fields); where the citizens of Milwaukee county have to pay a tax… but we can’t even watch the Brewers play for free on tv? Yea, Infinity Fields… Grrr.
I refuse to pay the exorbitant costs for services provided by AT&T or Spectrum! We have the so-called free tv, right? I watch the Packers’ games every week. Boy would the Packers fans snap if they were under such a contract! Why aren’t all the citizens of Wisconsin taxed for what they get?
Then we have this stupid train (streetcar) of sorts which the former mayor put in place, that only circles around an approximate 2-mile rectangle in the downtown Milwaukee area. Oh, and it costs 4-million dollars per year. Funny how the city shuts down certain bus lines if they don’t generate enough revenue…
So we have this knuckleheaded mayor, Caviler Johnson, wanting to RAISE taxes of an exponential nature to fund what? The streetcar? The Brewers? The roads? Milwaukee has the highest crime rate, the most homicides, rapes, and the most horrible timing and implementation of road construction, ever! But that’s not the end…
Our county screws the police with no contract negotiations (for several years) to pay the police what they are worth and deserve! They put their lives on the line every time they go on duty! Do we think of that?
Eventually, they will get all the back pay they deserve plus their raises. What a joke!
Then we have the habitual parking violation issues in Milwaukee… Ok, this is a no-brainer. Arrest them if they don’t have a license, and tow their car to the impound lot! Put a boot on the car. Then the owner of the car, which is atypically NOT the person who was driving or parking the car because it was stolen, has only 60 (sixty) days to claim their vehicle or it will be auctioned off.
And for the young (stupid) fools who think that its real cool to race your (loud) cars at excessive speeds down the roads, highways and streets, when you get pulled over, your car will be impounded and sold at auction IMMEDIATELY! The message must be sent that this type of behavior is unacceptable.
Enough is enough, already!
The city of Milwaukee pays out millions and millions of dollars every year in lawsuits….
The county budget is a deplorable mess. I can’t fix it. We can’t fix it.
It’s going to take time to repair and we need a person to fix it, like Scott Spiker?
